piScheduler -- A pilight extension for the daily switch plan
Hi Michel,
just an imported point about:
(01-24-2016, 09:10 PM)Michel Wrote: ... upgraded pilight to the development edition ...
... started to issue the piSchedule commands directly from the browser{%22actio...2:%22on%22}}
resulting in {"message":"failed"}.
AFAIK you're using a command structure which is valid only until pilight v.7.0 and Nightly and Dev versions have changed api here and are using a new "simplified" command structure.
The current stable piSchedule version up to 0.7.3 supports only pilight up to 7.0, not dev, not nightly!
I tried to test/change for those both versions but to some reasons .. also because of limited time .. I didn't .. hope to have time to do so in the near future, sorry.

An additional note about this ...
(01-24-2016, 09:10 PM)Michel Wrote: .. I think just one thread for all the posts on piSchedule is a bit confusing. Quite a few different things intersperse. It should be a seperate forum under addons if you ask me.

Maybe there is a better place for technical discussions etc, a forum which can be reached here:
piSchedule Forum

You can also move over to the piSchedule Forum from the piSchedule app. Since version on the page 'Actual Day Schedule" -- the main page -- you have the "piSchedule News" link.
That informs you about the latest piSchedule news and can take you directly to the form.

Hope it helps.

PS Remember piSchedule setup/update/documentation link is here
(Use the German version if possible, that's more actual then the English .. at the moment)
Ok, thx. I'll look into downgrading then because I think the reason I installed the nightly was some new option on the pilight-receive command. That didn't work for me so a downgrade seems the way to go then.

Thanks again.

Error: 500 Internal Server Error

Sorry, the requested URL '' caused an error:

Internal Server Error

I had a problem with the pi sd card and re-installed everything from scratch. So back to the normal (not dvlp, noth nightly) version of pilight and piSchedule. I copied the saved config files of both into the appropriate directories. pilight works fine again. However piSchedule returns with the above if I try to edit any of the schedules.

x.x.x.x:5005 with the list of actions for today shows ok. I can navigate to the homepage (x.x.x.x:5005/home) works ok. But then if I try to edit any of the schedules I get the above.
Also the scheduled commands are not executed.

Tried to add the log file but get some error message about unsupported format so here are the only relevant messages in the log if I try to edit a schedule. Not much help I guess. Nothing useful in the info log either.
#927 14:57:21 - piSchedule home #204 /home >><<
#927 14:57:26 - piSchedule edit #424 /edit >>MyWeekDaySchedule.ini<<

I noticed a previous entry with this error but without any solution. Any new ideas?

Cheers, Michel
Hi Michel,

two questions:
-- which piSchedule version do you use?
-- did you tried to build a new schedule.ini and tested that? Just one or two definitions would be fine for that

Hi Guenter,

Sorry for not responding sooner. Busy times for all kinds of reasons.

Version is "Version (EN / ip)".

When I tried to select 'New Job List' I received the same (type of ) error message:

Error: 500 Internal Server Error
Sorry, the requested URL '' caused an error:
Internal Server Error

Thanks, Michel
Hi Michel,

please upgrade to piSchedule 0.7.5. Note it only runs with the standard pilight, not with nightly.

Here is the docu link for the current version with the update details:
Also this a German version, it should be easy to understand how to upgrade/install.

Well, my German is not too good. But if I'm correct, in the dropbox link I only read about functional use, nothing about upgrade. There's one link in there to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3544...Setup.html but that is v0.7.3 (not 0.7.5).

Are those the instructions I should use to upgrade/install?

Sorry for posting the wrong link.

But you can use an update/installation link to directly start the process -- see below. I recommend to use the 0.7.5 version and enter it at the Raspberry prompt.

pi@raspberrypi ~ $ cd ~ && wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3544...leSetup.sh -O piScheduleSetup.sh && bash piScheduleSetup.sh
