[Fully Supported] KAKU ABST-604 (dusk/dawn sensor)
#1
Firstly I woiuld thank you and the community forsuch a great tool as pilight.
I am a happy user!

Today I bought myself a klikaanklikuit ABST-604 dusk/dawn sensor wich I wanted to add to my pilight configuration. Unfortunatly it did not show up as a regular klikaanklikuit transmitter.

actully it did't give me any response at all.
After connecting it regulary to a light the pilight debug gave me this:

When switching the learners button to "Del"

Is there any possibility to get this device supported?
And what will I be able to to to help?

With kind regards,

Can you try the development repository package:
Code:
apt-get install pilight-protocol-arctech-dusk

Amazingly quick!!! Thanks it works like a charm. The ID, unit and dusk dawn states are nicely reported!

Thanks Smile

Are the states correct?

Yes they are as they should be, I checked it with the connected lamp

The only thing which is not working yet, or maybe I make a mistake.
I wanted toactually see it's state, also to make variables on it so I've added it in my config.json like

Code:
"Schemersensor": {
                        "name": "Schemersensor",
                        "protocol": [ "arctech_dusk" ],
                        "id": [{
                                "id": 8927518,
                                "unit": 9
                        }],
                        "state": "dusk"
                },

It failed with:
Jul 03 18:40:06:150691] pilight-daemon: ERROR: device #2 "Schemersensor" of "Misc", invalid protocol

I checked the protocol names and also tryed to act it as sending via
Code:
pilight-send -p arctech_dusk -i 8927518 -u 9 -t

This gave me:
pilight-send: ERROR: this protocol is not supported or doesn't support sending.

Am I making a mistake since actually I am adding a transmitter as a kind of switch?

How strange,
after adding it to my config.json as a secondary protocol it seems to work... further testing...

Reviving an old thread, I know...

However, I also bought the ABST-604 and have it visible by installing the additional package.

However, I do see the switching passing by if I have the debug screen going.

With light I see state A, without light I see state B.

But in pilight (on the webgui for example) I see nothing.

What was the solution for you Netopyr ? Did you ever solve it ?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Never mind previous post, I've created a workaround for my issue.

I changed the protocol to give back OFF and ON states instead of Dusk and Dawn.
Now I can use this state in pimatic to write rules.
