Hi,

some time ago I bought a couple of remote controlled sockets with remote:
model powerfix profi RBC-A 3600R.

I never could get the units to work however. I press the 'learn' button on the sockets and then the buttons on the remote but nothing works.

I tried to get some data out of the remote by using a rpi with pilight-raw and debug:
- With raw there is too much static
- With debug nothing happens when I push one the three off buttons (there are three off buttons on the remote, one for each socket + a master switch. Same for the on buttons.)

Assuming i can't use the remote (I think it's broken), can I still use the two sockets using my raspberry pi and pilight? Could someone point me in the right direction?

Try sending the raw codes with pilight-send and check what pilight-receive outputs (while the daemon is running):

I get no output. pilight-receive only picks up a signal from a nearby weatherstation from my neighbours every now and then.

Just saying that you can use existing raw codes to check how it would have been recognized by pilight.

Or may I assume that I can't use the two sockets with pilight?

Do these devices have a learn function?

Yes, there is a learn button on them. No clue how they work however, if I have to press them once, or keep them pushed in.

Then just learn new codes you send with pilight.

I can just choose any protocol I want? Something like:

pilight-send -p kaku_switch -i 1 -u 1 -t

No, as i said. Check what protocol is represented by the raw codes you posted in the first post. Then use that protocol to learn new codes.
