pilight eventing
#1
pilight eventing has finally hit the beta status. Please share your experiences here. Both success stories, bugs, questions and feature requests. If you want to use the new eventing feature, please manually compile the latest development version or wait until the nightly is created.

I will create a new page @http://www.pilight.org/nightly/ with all info needed for using pilight eventing at this stage.

Nice job, I like how the actions (with arguments) are handled.

Is there a web-gui planned to set the rules for pilight eventing?

It was not a question, it was a compliment. Handling action arguments this way is an elegant solution.

@sweetpi, appologies, i misread you. Must have been the pressure in finally getting this thing implemented Wink

PS. still hoping we can get that cooperation to set off as we discussed earlier Smile

Thanks Curlymo, now its compiling. It seems running, but pilight is not bound to any port, while on my production raspberry it is.

Code:
pi@raspberrypi /usr/local/sbin $ sudo service pilight status
[ ok ] pilight is running.
pi@raspberrypi /usr/local/sbin $ sudo netstat -tulpn
Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address           Foreign Address         State       PID/Program name
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:80              0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      2151/node
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:22              0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      2127/sshd
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:55387           0.0.0.0:*                           2151/node

udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:123             0.0.0.0:*                           2065/ntpd

And on production:
Code:
pi@raspberrypi ~ $ sudo netstat -tulpn
Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address           Foreign Address         State       PID/Program name
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:45730           0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      23711/pilight-daemo

udp        0      0 127.0.0.1:123           0.0.0.0:*                           2026/ntpd
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:123             0.0.0.0:*                           2026/ntpd

And in /var/log/pilight.log only this:
Code:
[Nov 23 15:54:51:234398] pilight-daemon: INFO: version 5.0, commit bfdad56
[Nov 23 15:55:01:371315] pilight-daemon: INFO: version 5.0, commit bfdad56
[Nov 23 15:55:53:185742] pilight-daemon: INFO: version 5.0, commit bfdad56
[Nov 23 16:02:20:240664] pilight-daemon: INFO: version 5.0, commit bfdad56

And when starting pilight as daemon, no errors are displayed. How to fix this issue?
