One note: the docu describes a support program "piConsole.py". That has been removed with vers.0.4 .. so the docu isn't correct, sorry.
Using the GUI you need to use this:

You can execute an ON/OFF command using the browser with eg.:
yourIP:yourPort/config?device;on
yourIP:yourPort/config?device;off
