multiple use of ping protocol
#1
Hello,

I have added two IP Cams into my network.
So now I want to show the state ( If the Cams are online/offline ) in the pilight gui

Like my Openelec device
Code:
"openelec-online": {
                        "rule": "IF checkopenelec.state IS connected THEN label DEVICE label-openelec TO online COLOR green",
                        "active": 1
                },
                "openelec-offline": {
                        "rule": "IF checkopenelec.state IS disconnected THEN label DEVICE label-openelec TO offline COLOR red",
                        "active": 1
                },

The Labels for Openelec works fine, but adding a additional ping protocol for an IP Cam the label show me allways offline although the cam is online and could be pinged via commandline.

So is it general possible to use multiple ping protocols ?

Greetings from Bastelwastel

Can you post the definition of the ping devices in your config.json please?

Shure, here they are :

Code:
"label-openelec": {
                        "protocol": [ "generic_label" ],
                        "id": [{
                                "id": 108
                        }],
                        "label": "offline",
                        "color": "red"
                },
                "checkopenelec": {
                        "protocol": [ "ping" ],
                        "id": [{
                                "ip": "192.168.10.6"
                        }],
                        "state": "disconnected",
                        "poll-interval": 60
                },
                "label-IPCliving": {
                        "protocol": [ "generic_label" ],
                        "id": [{
                                "id": 109
                        }],
                        "label": "offline",
                        "color": "red"
                },
                "checkIPCliving": {
                        "protocol": [ "ping" ],
                        "id": [{
                                "ip": "192.168.10.15"
                        }],
                        "state": "connected",
                        "poll-interval": 70
                },

You can use ping multiple times for multiple ip addresses.
