GPIO for other application

Good afternoon,

I need some GPIO's for another application.
Will it be enough to simply don't assign a device to them or will pilight claim them all?

pilight will only use the pins that you define in your config (for sender, receiver, filter, relay, etc.), all the others can be used for something else.
