Eventing intervalls via webgui
#1
Hi evrybody,

I recently came across pilight and I am amazed by the simplicity of this mighty tool. I'm kind off new to everything about Raspberry Pi and home automation, but I already managed to get a decent setup in pilight.

But right now I am wondering if there is any function to define values for rules like certain timepoints other than directly in the config.json.
For example as input via the webgui.

To make my question a bit more understandable look at the rules below.

Code:
 "rule_ventilation_on": {
                        "rule": "IF time.hour == 10 AND (ventilation.state IS off) THEN switch DEVICE ventilation TO on",
                        "active": 1
                },
                "rule_ventilation_off": {
                        "rule": "IF time.hour == 22 AND (ventilation.state IS on) THEN switch DEVICE ventilation TO off",

Those rules do the thing pretty well. But if I want to change the timepoints for on and off (10 and 22 o'clock in this example) I always have to do it in the config.json

I now just want to know, if there's a way to implement a field for

"ventilation off at XX o'clock"
"ventilation on at XX o'clock"

in the webgui....

I hope you people understand and are able to help.

Thank you

Better look at this one:
https://forum.pilight.org/Thread-Terrari...-pilight-7

The link above is outdated (was for pilight6)
Terrarium:  RPi Model B Rev 2 / pilight 8.1.2 / stretch
Aquarium: RPi Model B Plus Rev 1.2 / pilight 8.0.6 / jessie

Ah I guess I see what you did there... You used those "generic_dimmers" for the task I asked for. Thats genius. That would've probably never come to my mind.
Thank you!
