multiple 433mhz senders
#1
hey,

Since the reach of one 433 sender wasn't enough I added another one to the opposite side of the house.

now the devices on both sides of the house are working fine. the only problem is that some devices in the middle of the house are working horrible.

is it possible that the 2 senders disturb each other?
and if so. is there a fix for all devices at once or do I need to add uuid to each device?

Regards
Mark

Since one of the last nightly´s, UUID sending is also affecting Wireless devices.

This is working Fine for me...

I use the modules from the pilight shop. they are working fine (on one of them I added the spiral antenna)

when I disable sender 1 only the devices that are in the opposite corner of the house are not working.
When disable-ing the other sender it is the other way around.

So the senders are working. only there is to much noise here to have one sender working from one corner to the other corner. (and it is no option to place the sender in the middle of the house.)

So I need to upgrade to nightly and place the UUID on every device?

And I use the transmitter given in the link and everything works great in my whole house

Yes, you do need to upgrade to nightly and configure an UUID for every device in config.json. This will avoid the RF interferences.

For your reference.
2.4ghz wifi has only 2 meters reach due to interference from 80 wifi networks.
So i am not surprised that the 433 can't handle 20 meters with 2 concreet (with iron) wall's.

The only troubles are the units in the middle of the house.

@wo_rasp.
Thanks that will be an acceptable solution.

I first upgraded to version 238. this has an issue with a not working webgui
I also checked version 228 wich isn't working at all.

i will now revert back to the stable installation. and will try it again when the next nightly is released.

Have you changed the webgui path in the config?

No, i only added the gpio platform to the configuration.
So i guess i missed that part.
Will give it another try next week.
What do I need to change for a default /clean install. (so I can copy my configuration from stable.?)
