How to troubleshoot module loading
#1
Lightbulb
Hi.
I started developing protocol for my weather station (here in this thread).

On the way i made some decisions and now I am not sure whether my module is correctly loading in latest pilight nightly.

Iam running on raspberry pi 2
Code:
Linux raspberrypi 4.9.52-v7+ #1038 SMP Fri Sep 29 16:26:52 BST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux

rpi-update on 2169dbafa715d4a7cfcd3dcf78a15f82fecae2a6
I pulled pilight origin/development branch.

I did try to compile it, but was unsuccessful so I decided to use it only for dependencies in order to compile my module as standalone.

I followed the tutorial here and was able to compile the module. Then I copied it to
Code:
/usr/local/lib/pilight/protocols/
and set flags -rwxr-xr-x.

I put a lot of logprintf to see what is happening in the log but sadly there are no entries in the log.

Could please someone confirm that this path of developing module work?
1. pilight installed from apt-get nightly
2. module compiled against git master/development
3. file copied in to /usr/local/lib/pilight/protocols/

Also please advise if there is additional way to troubleshoot module loading.

thanks.
