Signal decoded - how to go on?

With the help of pilight-debug, I have managed to decode the stream coming from a Hygro-/Thermometer called "ThermoPro". Seems to be a variant of tfa.

and represents 25,5°C and 61% rel. humidity.

Bit 0-3 looks like the preamble
Bit 4-11 seems to be the house code (changes when powered off)
Bit 12-15 is the channel (12/13 always 0)
Bit 16-27 is Temperature in °C, no offset
Bit 28-35 is Humidity
Bit 36 looks like Battery status

So far so good! Unfortunately this code is not contained in any of the protocols.
My question is, how do I go on from here?
Where can I find the protocols. I'd like to manipulate e.g. the tfa protocol to make it work.
How do I compile this and make pilight aware of this new protocol?
I am a Python guy and don't have much experience with C programming.
I have tried to locate this information in the documentation but without luck. Can anyone give me a hint?

Oops, sorry, forgot about that. Fixed it.

Nonetheless, can you (as being the great master of pilight) point me to the right direction?
Where do I find the protocols?
how do I compile a new changed protocol?
how do I bind this into pilight.

I haven't been able to find this in the documentation - neither in the wiki.
