pilight, Intertechno_old and Homebridge
#1
Hi all,

I'm using pilight happily since a long time. Now I'm pushing my HomeKit Smarthome and try to get something working at this moment. Following situation:

I'm using an Intertechno switch which acts like a push button instead of a switch. This means, that if I press on on my remote, the light goes on, and if I switch on again, it will goes off. This is not good for pilight. Because when I press on, the light switch on, and if I press off, the light stays on.

I created a rule which says:

"esszimmer": {
                        "rule": "IF B4.state IS on THEN switch DEVICE B4 TO off",
                        "active": 1
                },

So pilight switch's automatically back to off when I press on. And the Light toggles as expected.

This is working for pilight, but not for the Homebridge. Homebridge doesn't recognize the rule and stays on, after sending "on". So I need to press off and on again to get it off and press off again to get the correct state. This is not a way I can work with HomeKit.

So do you have any idea how to fix this issue? pilight should send everytime a "on", but also toggle the "state". I think on this way it could get handled. But I don't know if it is possible to handle this with pilight. Or is der any other solution.

Thanks a lot!

It is just me or is this more a of a HomeBridge question, because pilight works as expected.

I also ask this myself when I wrote this post. But maybe there is someone which lives in both worlds

By the way, I found a solution. Defining a rule which puts off the light 1 second after it was put on, fixed the homekit state. Important was the „after 1 second“. Without this it didn’t work in homekit, but in pilight itself it worked.
