Thank you for the fast answer! I just want to recheck, you mean the second resistor in the row of six and bypassing means just short circuit the two ends of the resistor and then it should work? (Sorry for asking again, I just was so happy that I got it working in the first place and do not want to break it now.)

Yes, the second resistor from the top.

I tried it but it did not work. I will connect the CO2 sensor to a different device then.

Thanks reporting back. Have you though about using an ESP8266?
