Issue with dimmer ITLR-300
#1
Hello all!

I have configured the following Intertechno dimmer ITLR-300 and it is working great:
Code:
        "Dimmer51": {
            "protocol": [ "kaku_dimmer" ],
            "id": [{
                "id": 1,
                "unit": 5
            }],
            "state": "off",
            "dimlevel-minimum": 1,
            "dimlevel-maximum": 15,
            "dimlevel": 15
        }

When i ON, OFF or DIM via the GUI, everything is working perfect.

When i send manually the following commands, the dimmer goes ON and OFF as expected:

Code:
pilight-send -p kaku_dimmer -i 1 -u 5 -t
pilight-send -p kaku_dimmer -i 1 -u 5 -f

But my issue is then I send the following dim command, the GUI reacts correctly, but the dimmer does not react at all...
Code:
pilight-send -p kaku_dimmer -i 1 -u 5 -d 3

Any idea why? What did I did wrong? Smile

Can you check if the pilight-daemon -D is actually the same for both actions?

Hi Curlymo,

I stopped the pilight service with:

Code:
sudo service pilight stop

Then, I started pilight in debug mode:

Code:
pilight-daemon -D

After that, sending the dimming commands
pilight-send -p kaku_dimmer -i 1 -u 5 -d 3
is indeed working as expected on the dimmer.

So the issue happens if pilight is launched automatically via a service.

How could i debug that?

Don't you have multiple pilight versions installed somehow?

I have checked that with "ps -ef" and I only have 1 instance of pilight running:
root       773     1 13 18:51 ?        00:00:21 /usr/local/sbin/pilight-daemon

I have Homebridge running on top of pilight. I deactivated Homebridge startup and this solves the issue.
So I have to check why Homebridge is causing such strange behaviour.

Many thanks!

I found a workaround: define the dimmers as switch in Homebridge.
