I have several of these weather stations around the house. Some are so far away that sometimes their signal isn't picked up by pilight anymore. I usually notice this because the temperatures don't make sense (outside temp meter still reporting 20 degrees while it is clearly much colder). So I want to know that the values I'm looking at are up to date.
I thought of using the battery indicator of the weather station to become red when either the battery is low, or there has not been a value received from the weather station for x amount of time.
When I can set the battery value to low every midnight, or every hour, it gets updated to 1 again by a broadcast from the weather station.
So when battery is low/red I know I'm either looking at outdated data, or the battery needs to be replaced... (Or I'm checking at exactly midnight)
