If you fully recompile and reinstall everything, no issues should be present between the pilight programs.

Did you also clone the latest source from git or did you pull it?

Could it be a problem with iptables? As I see pilight needs port 5000? But I don't think pilight-receive uses connections like this?

pilight will communicate the port on which it's running by using SSDP. All pilight clients will dynamically retrieve that port and connect to it. At least, when they can find the pilight-daemon. So by default, pilight will run at a random free port.
