[Fixed] usage of log-level
#1
I have a problem with the usage of datetime and want to do some analyzing. My question is how to enable logging?
settings.json contains next entries:
Code:
"log-level": 4,
"log-file": "/var/log/pilight.log",

According to the wiki it is the 'default log level of the daemon'.
What is the meaning of these levels?
I have set the level to 1 and 5 and the only output to /var/log/pilight.log is version info at start up of the daemon.

For analyzing purposes you can better use the debug options:
Code:
pilight-daemon -D

#3
I did and observed a problem in retrieving the timezone.

However to give support to users who are less familiar with daemons, logging is more convenient. Doesn't work logging at all?
We still could describe the meaning of the levels on wiki. I am willing to do so if I knew the meaning of the 5 levels.

#4
The same as here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syslog#Severity_levels
However, pilight loglevel 5 = severity code 7

Can you post your datetime bug in the datetime topic.
